Dr. Paul Q. Fortson has a passion for reading and teaching. His love and compassion for people can be seen throughout his life and professional career. His sincerest desire is to have a dynamic and life-changing impact on the communities he serves and, ultimately, the world.

In fulfilling his civic duties, Dr. Paul Q. Fortson serves as the Social Justice and Community Liaison for the Fulton County Solicitor General’s office.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is the founder of the Paradise Community Development Corporation, Inc., a collaborative 501c3 nonprofit located in Forest Park, Georgia, where he serves as President of the Board and Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson has presided in a leadership role of the Church Of God In Christ’s Scholastic Motivational Ministries’ (SMM) Financial District for over a decade. The Financial District introduces youth to financial concepts through exercises focused on commonly used financial terms and investment concepts.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is also the creator of the Church Of God In Christ’s SMM Financial District’s Wall Street Project, which introduces youth to the stock market concepts through fun interactive capstones and exercises. His programs have been the catalyst of other programs created within the conference.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is a member of several community boards and associations, including the National Black MBA Association, “The Morehouse College Martin Luther King International College of Ministers and Laity Board of Preachers,” and has had the honor of serving as Georgia House of Representatives “Chaplain of the Day.”

A native of Atlanta, Ga, Dr. Paul Q. Fortson has earned degrees from Brevard College, Xavier University of Louisiana, the University of New Orleans, and the Interdenominational Theological Center. Dr. Fortson’s doctoral research in Social Justice & Public Policy focused on engaging an intergenerational, communal conversation about the future of the Church and the communities it serves.
